Margaret's hospitality at Nethermains House truly made my stay special. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and offered homemade soup, a sandwich, and delicious apple pie. This thoughtful touch saved me from searching for local dining options. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with an en-suite bathroom featuring a fantastic shower. Sleeping here felt like a dream. Breakfast was served promptly, with a full Scottish spread of perfectly cooked options that set me up for the day. Margaret’s local knowledge was invaluable, providing tips and insights that made my visit enjoyable. I did encounter an issue with the bathroom fans that emitted noticeable noise throughout my stay. While it didn't overshadow the overall experience, it was a distraction during quieter moments. Despite this, the warmth and comfort of Nethermains House made it a memorable trip. Would recommend it highly for those looking for a personal touch in their accommodation.

We enjoyed our stay in the family suite, and the kids especially loved the DVD library full of films to keep them entertained. The breakfast was truly a highlight, with plenty of options to choose from, and it was always freshly prepared.
In my wife's opinion, a small play area would have been great for the kids.

Homely evening meals available on request, Personalized hospitality services, Historic ambiance paired with modern comfort
The bathroom fans produce excessive noise that disrupts peace!!! The limited dining options nearby make mealtime a challenge, especially if you're not driving!!! Inconsistent heating availability left me feeling cold during my stay!!! Parking availability can be a logistical nightmare!!!

Couples seeking comfort want this spot!
Margaret is not just a host, she's like a mother who took care of everything, we arrived and she offered us some soup and a yummy sandwich without us even asking. Every afternoon we were treated to homemade cake which was a lovely surprise after long day, it felt like a special touch that made us feel welcomed.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for the comfort and service we received, it was totally acceptable.

Exceptional hospitality from a gem of a host
I had a truly wonderful experience during my two-night stay. Margaret was nothing short of amazing, going above and beyond by cooking us a delicious fry-up breakfast that was perfect to kick-start our day. The place was impeccably clean, and I loved how comfortable my room was—felt just like home, but better! The only improvement I could suggest would be to have a few more local dining options available within walking distance.
